It is a cruel irony that the de-prohibition of the cannabis plant used as a medicine could occur before legal hemp production comes to fruition in the United States.
The oldest know human artifact is an 8000 year old piece of hemp cloth found in the Mesopotamia (modern-day Turkey) where western human civilization began.
It suffices to say that the cannabis plant has accompanied humanity throughout our history for its usefulness as a fiber, as a food, and as medicine. (more…)

Marijuana is often associated with earth-loving hippies but at the 4/20 Rally in Civic Center Park there was plenty of litter to suggest otherwise. While temporary trash cans were provided, they were not sufficient for the 15,000 people estimated to have attended the rally.
In comes the GREEN TEAM.

The Denver Relief GREEN TEAM along with ACT4CO and participating medical marijuana centers spent the afternoon walking through the park picking up litter from revelers. The goal was not only to help keep Civic Center Park clean, but also to improve the negative stigmas often associated with marijuana. (more…)

Here is a story on the Westword Latest News Blog that talks about the revisions being made by health department’s medical marijuana advisory committee as they draw closer to submitting their proposals to the Board of Health about future regulation of the medical marijuana industry.
Kayvan, one of our owners, serves on MMAPR’s board of directors, and it is good to see that the committee responds well to organized and legitimate efforts. The mobile doctor’s office serves rural areas where doctors are hard to find, let alone doctors sympathetic to MMJ. (more…)
