Membership Guidelines
Medical Marijuana Center:

Denver Relief is a Medical Marijuana Center created to provide services for qualified medical marijuana patients consistent with the limitations and rights set out in the Colorado Constitution, Article XVIII, Section 14 and HB1284. The following rules and regulations apply to all patients of this Medical Marijuana Center. Any violation of these rules is grounds for immediate termination of any legal relationship between the parties.

Recommendations and Confirmation of Diagnosis:

Patients of Denver Relief must have a recommendation for medical marijuana by a doctor licensed as required by SB 109, HB 1284 and any applicable regulation. Patients must provide Denver Relief with a copy of the following: (a) a copy of Patient’s Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry Card, (b) a valid Colorado photo ID or other approved state of Colorado residency documents; and (c) the recommending Physician’s telephone number, email address and fax number to ensure validity of the information.

Only Patients and Caregivers Permitted in Medical Marijuana Center:

Only patients who are 18 years of age or older and who are in possession of an original and currently valid Colorado Medical Marijuana Registry Card or other approved documents are permitted on the premises. All others will be asked to leave without exception.

Confidentiality:

All personal information collected by Denver Relief is confidential and private. Such information will not be released to any third party without your express written consent. Patients understand that Denver Relief may be forced by Court order to release certain information and that Denver Relief will comply with all lawful court orders in this regard.

Designation of Provider:

If I already have a Caregiver or Provider listed on my state issued medical marijuana registry identification card, I attest that I am unable to obtain medicine from my registered caregiver or provider for my immediate needs; therefore, I am seeking assistance from Denver Relief. I understand that only the CDPHE-issued Change of Caregiver/Medical Marijuana Center form can permanently change my permanent provider designation.

No re-sale, re-distribution, or driving impaired:

Re-sale or re-distribution of any products received from Denver Relief is strictly prohibited. Patient agrees that Patient shall not operate a motor vehicle or heavy equipment at any time while impaired by medical marijuana. Patient shall indemnify, defend and hold harmless Denver Relief to the maximum extent allowed by law from any damages caused by the Patient operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment while impaired by medical marijuana.

No public use, no cell phones/cameras/recording devices/weapons:

Patient understands that use of medical marijuana in public view is illegal. No cell phones, cameras, electronic communication or recording devices of any kind, or weapons of any kind are permitted on the premises.

No on-site consumption:

Consumption of medical marijuana, illegal drugs, tobacco, or alcohol on the premises is strictly prohibited. Consumption of medical marijuana or illegal drugs is strictly prohibited on the entire site address of 1 Broadway, Denver.

Appointments Policy:

Patients making appointments either by phone or on line through our website, notifying us ahead of their arrival, are served prior to patients who walk in, even if there is a queue in our waiting room. This policy however will not be followed during the last 15 minutes of operations each day to prevent a large number of patients coming in prior to close.

Payment for services:

Payments made to Denver Relief for medical marijuana related products and services include fees for the Medical Marijuana Center’s professional consulting services, for overhead, expenses and other related costs of providing these services. Payment is expected at the time of service.

Denver Relief reserves the right to refuse service to any person at any time for any reason.

Do doctors who recommend marijuana need extra training? Maryland reps. say ‘Yes’

There is a persistent sentiment that medical marijuana is only appropriate for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, or for geriatric care, but evidence suggests medicinal possibilities for marijuana extend far beyond this narrow-minded approach. Maryland legislators propose moving forward with the state’s medical marijuana program, but would require doctors wishing to recommend marijuana undergo special training and approval. This is an attempt to prevent a certain type of medical cannabis user from gaining access; by creating a short list of approved doctors with narrow views of who qualifies for medical marijuana treatment.
